I usually find it is easiest to download the MP3, then play it at my leisure and player of choice.

I use a podcast player. Search for the podcast you want (eg The Naked Scientists) and hit Subscribe.
It checks twice a day to see if any new podcasts on my list have been uploaded, and downloads them for listening.
But sometimes the podcast player and the MP3 player tussle over which one has access to the speakers, so I have to shut down the one I don't want.

It looks like there is no longer anything scheduled on the streaming. Perhaps they're doing some updates.
