I wish I'd seen these guys in their hey-day...

I wish I'd seen these guys in their hey-day...

I chanced upon this live recording of Yes' "It Can Happen" from their 1983 90125 album.

Incredible detail and accuracy. I wish I'd been able to see them when they were this good...


What I love about Yes is the way they used to alter their stuff during live performances and do bits of (obviously practised) improv; superb.

Have a listen to 5m10 onwards and you'll see what I mean - none of that's in the original.

Yes weren't the loudest live band but my ears were ringing when I left the gig back in the seventies.
