who discovered High blood pressure and what year?

Im trying to figure out the answer to that question too, but I do know that scientists who have dissected Egyptian mummies have concluded that high blood pressure has been around since as early as the Egyptian empires. Also in 1896, the blood pressure cuff was invented, but unfortunately, the severity of high blood pressure was not realized until the 1950s. I hope that helps you!
