Never seen Saw?? You must see the first one. It was innovative and truly freaky and twisted. The next 3 (I've seen 20 mins of Saw 4) rely blood and guts to scare you. There's no thought that goes into producing a movie like that. Its a bunch of how much can we gross people out?

The Brady Bunch Movie
A Very Brady Sequel

brrrrrrrrrr......that's enough !!

That film gave me nightmares [:(]

The Birds, well, I can't personally stand that film, I thought it quite lame.

My all time favourite scary movie has to be Ring, the original mind you. Extreme Asian Tartan films are great [;D]

totally... the original Ring was better, but the Original Grduge (Ju-On) bloody creepy... way better than the Sarah Michelle Gellar version

I haven't actually seen the Gellar version, but I know it would never match up to the original.
When I saw the Grudge for the first time, I had hairs sticking up [;D]

I've never seen the Japanese versions of Grudge and Ring...I just have a thing about reading movies !!

But Dan..have you seen the US version of the ring.....I actually found it quite disturbing !!...serves me right for watching these things at 3am in a darkened room with headphones on !!

The Birds ?....at the time (44 years ago ) it was quite horrific !

The Japanese versions are great, I think they tend to go with a different approach to scaring people. Hollywood is all about things jumping out at you and get get very predictable [;)]
Definitely worth watching though.

I have the American version at home [;)] I like it as I can understand how it all began a lot more easily [:)]
lol why on earth you would watch it using headphones though, that really does add to any scary movie [;)]

I can understand The Birds being a good and scary film at the time. But for me it's a little too dated to be scary now. Plus it's just how everyone runs from them, come on, stay and fight...........all you really need is a baseball team [;)]

But Neil, I'd hold your hand if we watched a horror film, me will protects ewe  [:D]
