I've always wanted to do it- but just wanted some info on it first!

It very good fun right? How do you get started? How safe is it?

I know a lot of you have participated - i'd love to hear your opinions!

It's very important that you use a parachute !!.....I hope that helps !![]

Always carry a reserve chute in case your chute doesn't open. In the case that the primary and reserve chutes both fail to open, you can return them for a full refund!

Also ensure you do not go at the chute cords with a pair of scissors before jumping.

I am really up for doing a jump, its on my list of things to do! Its strange for me, i don't fear heights at all, in fact i actually feel the urge to jump off high places when i look down. weird.

In your case, you must find gravity very attractive !.....have you considered a bungee jump ?

yes indeedy, i want to do one of those too. Only one though, i don't think doing lots of them is very good for your back/spine etc...

I don't particularly dislike heights, or particularly like them either. But the thought of freefall sounds so cool. I had actually signed up to the skydiving society at uni last year and was seriously going to go through with it...until my mum persuaded me not to. I told her i wouldn't do it in my first year of uni, and now that has just ended!

Whats the first jump with an instuctor like? It doesn't look too confortable to be strapped so tightly to the instructor...

HUMPTY DUMPTY DIDN'T FALL HE WAS PUSHED!

I have jumped from 10,000 feet and it was incredible. I can not describe to to you the thrill of the jump and the view.
I had been divorced for about 6 months and so for me, being that close to man was worth the $300.00! I AM afraid of heights and flying but I do not believe that you should let fear stop you. I had a video and still pictures taken as well as the camera I had in the jump suit pocket.
I thought that clouds would have been moist..they are not. As soon as the plane door opened my mouth went dry, it is so dry at that height.Maybe it was the scream...hmmm....
There is no feeling of falling as there is nothing in the sky to fall past. You get the sensation of falling when you are going past something, in the air you are simply oblivious to it all.
When I got home I was thinking that people should be waving and throwing flowers at me....they just carried on with their lives.<laughing>
It was two days before my 2nd black belt tip test and as I was landing I was worried about my ankles, nothing happened.
Jump...everyone should Jump! I can't wait to do it again!

Qi, my sister did a parachute jump for charity...though, it seems a bit of a con cos the sponsorship money she raised paid for the jump (£300)!!!!..but there was still £200 left for charideeeeee !!!......you see adverts for them in various papers and mags.

I also figure if Presdident Bush can do it at age 80 I could do it at my age. I know $300 is a lot of money but it is something that if you do only once you will always remember...you will look at the sky and say I was on the other side clouds....it is amazing.
