Is this bee rare in kent ,or common.? I've seen my first one this summer.

I do not know if you have a correct name here.

Dasypodaidae is the name of a family of bees. Where did you get this scientific name? I did a search of the web and have not found this bee.

Found it on an identification site- there were several different species, but hirpites matched my picture, so I think it's that one- thanks for reply Jimbob.
