Ben glanced down the trench, it was still intact. But once the suiciders were finished he doubted there would be many left. He fired through the window, and kept firing. But they kept coming.
"How are they doing this?" Rob yelled and let off another burst.
"Beats me." Ben replied simply. Suddenly there was a roar. Ben saw approaching aircraft.
"OUTTA THE TRENCH! GET OUTTA THE-" An explosion enveloped the man who was yelling. And the scream of aircraft was loud again. Ben heard numerous screams crying out for help, a medic.
Or their Mom.
Ben suddenly wished he was deaf again. He looked to the Commander for orders, but he was leaning over the Sarge, who was lying on the floor groaning. Large portions of the trench were broken and troops were swarming in. Ben took more ammo from a nearby crate and then used it for cover as he fired at the soldiers. He ducked and bullets pinged off the crate. He heard Rob scream and looked over. He was shot in the leg firing off pistol rounds down the hallway.
"EVAC NOW!!" He heard the Commander yell, Ben grabbed Rob by his collor and backed up, firing his rifle with one hand and dragging Rob with the other. But he had no cover, he could leave Rob here. Run into the hallway, and flee with the rest of the squad. But then he remembered the Goliath battle armor crumpling in front of him. Ben gritted his teeth and kept firing until turned a corner. He bounced a grenade off the wall and kept going. Someone suddenly pulled him roughly backward and Ben dropped his rifle. But Rob made it through before the door sealed. He heard triumphant rebel cries on the other side of the door. Ben sighed. "Don't worry about them. Jack, get Rob to the med bay. Ben and I will stay here." The Sarge limped off after Jack and they turned a corner and disappeared from view.

Nice job Ben..Very good descriptions of whats happening. Makes you feel as if you are watching the scene instead of just reading it!
