Cell Phone Carrier (If you voted please vote again)

Just wondering. Cuz we have all the ones listed above in our nearest city. And well I don't think anyone uses anything other then Verizon andd Alltel. My parents used to have Alltel and wow all I have to say is they stink even though they have good planes. Verizon to me might just be the best.

You are somewhat focussed on the US market. Every country has its own carriers (sometimes there are linkups between carriers in different countries, and sometimes a carrier in one country does operate under the same name in another country - particularly within the EU - but for the most part, carriers are different in each country.

In the US and I'm assuming it is the same for the EU there are a variety of companies to choose from. In Canada we have 3 - Bell, Telus, and Rogers. The lack of competition has allowed the companies to gouge consumers by having insanely high rates, especially when it comes to data transfer. Hence my surprise when I learn that alot of you access this site from your mobile phones.

I remember last summer when trying to find out when my parents flight from Glasgow was to land, I checked their airlines website for a number to call from my cell. Then next month I got my phone bill and that small online inquiry (3 pages were loaded) I was charged 13 dollars.

Mobile phone rates in Canada almost make me want to move to the US... almost.

broadband phone access 24/7 no data cap (well there is, but high enough that i get nowhere near it) all for the princly sum of £7.50p per month. that is 15ish canadian dollers or US$ 1,000,000 at current exchange rates

Up here we have vorizon wireless, sprint, US cellular,Edge wireless,Virgin mobile, and I think T-Mobile.

I use US CELLULAR! I tried sprint their calling area here was not good I was out of range so was always roaming had few cell towers!Did not like edge much, I have a Moto Q which I love for surfing the web and posting and everything computer.. LOL It is cool!
