The best cure is to not do it at all.

Cinnamon Sticks. I've found chewing gum very helpfull and I supose something that didn't tast of mint would be better. Nice thinking.
There's an odd game here I found while trying to find out which would be better but then Nobody's Confident you are right to. Damn!!!

The best cure for smoking is:

Do not buy into the addiction of tobacco. It is not addictive and is merely propaganda in place to compel you to adhere to purchasing the next packet.

Smoking is a habit, nothing more. A bad habit admittedly that will probably play a part in your eventual death, but still just a habit.

The addiction part is also being played up by the industry that has sprang into being from the misery of people trying to kick the habit. Adverts from these companies reinforces the addiction in graphic ways so as to convince you that you need their products. Exactly like the street drug dealers give out the first few samples for free and then they have you for a long time after.

Wake up to the bigger picture in advertising and the media and take control of your own lives rather than allowing these parasites to convince you that you need anything other than You to quit smoking.

I am aware of propagandist techniques that alter our state of reality and usually I'd be backing you but somehow I'm not sure I agree with you here.

Andrew have you ever smoked? Maybe you have not had those craving feelings. Maybe you have and still thought it to be propaganda. I'm a bit synical of your view.
