Jeebus - as big as ur hand! Unless you have extremely small hands, thats massive!
How did it manage to survive in your car so long? Does something that big still each insects? Or are your insects equally massive?

I think it is the Huntsman spider that has invaded a house in the UK somewhere, apparently an egg sac hitched a lift on a bunch of bananas and promptly hatched about 400 of the little blighters. yeuugghhh.

Well, my hands are normal, but this spider was the biggest I have seen (and they're fairly common around here). I guess it lived on insects and the bits of food scraps that accumulate in the car (I always wondered what happened to that big mac I dropped). It even got to the stage that I asked a pest controller how I could get rid of it, but with all the nooks and crannies found inside and outside a car, he said there was no sure way of removing it apart from catching it. When I finally did catch it, I just hoped it was a male and hadn't left any offspring behind.

That sounds like a really cool spider. I'd love to see a picture, so maybe I'll go Googling later.

Here's a link with some pictures. They're big spiders that love crawling along the ceiling hunting sleeping flies.

I've got no problem with the legs. Just the bit they sink into you when they aren't happy.
