The proper term for everything from your lips to your hemorrhoids is the alimentary canal.

But not being British, just what the heck is a digestive biscuit?

From our friends at Wiki:

A digestive biscuit, sometimes referred to as a sweetmeal biscuit, is a semi-sweet biscuit or cookie, originating in the United Kingdom, and popular there and in other Commonwealth countries. The name "digestive" derived from the belief that they had antacid properties due to the use of bicarbonate of soda when they were first developed.

Get a whole packet of these round ginger snaps and place on a plate or in a bowl that will keep them all together as if they were still in the pack.

Get a whole load of double cream and whip it up so it's nice and thick ......cover the whole pack of snaps until no cookie/biscuit is showing. Put in the fridge for 24 hours and then......Oh My Gawwwwd !!......just do it......the cream seeps into the biscuits and ewe have the most scrumptious delectable, tasting cake of extreme naughtiness ewe can imagine !! ...even better if ewe can stand to leave it for longer than 24 hours !!

The closets thing I found to a digestive biscuit in the USA was a Graham (?) cracker.. the thing we used for making s'mores.

No... graham crackers and digestive biscuits are totally different. Digestive cookies, really dont have much of a flavour. In the States I believe (like in Canada) they are called Arrowroot cookies.

We have Arrowroot biscuits.. they aren't the same AFAICT. as digestive biscuits... (could just be a regional thing)

I use any plain biscuit... just crush them up and add enough butter to make em stick. :)
