Jelly is only made from the juice of the fruit with sugar and the jell. Jam is made from the whole fruit.. and sugar, It can be deseeded but also made with the seeds.. The berries or other fruit is just cooked down then sugar added with the jell, it is denser and not got that clear look that jelly has.
I love berry preserves or Jam the best!
