They have the normal set - alimentary canal and its parts, gonads, gills, mantle, kidneys, heart and muscles.

Can it be seen when you open one up? I have only seen oysters cooked a couple times.. So when they are  alive .. is it possible to see them.. they look so gellatenous Is that a raw one that looks so loose and sloppy? I know some people bake them and some don't...

Thanks Jimbob.. I had no Idea! How the heck does a oyster breed...???

Oysters are the most delicious straight out of the ocean. Other wise 'kilpatrick' are the yummiest. (that's with Worcestershire sauce and bacon lightly grilled)

I think maybe you could see the organs if you knew what you were looking for.

LOL...yep, raw ones look loose and sloppy.  I'll try to let you know this weekend if you can see the organs.  We go out every Friday night, and I'll be sure to order my favorite appetizer....Oysters Rockefeller....and I'll try to dissect one...if it doesn't ruin my appetite.
