Hi Everybody,

I have it on good authority than I'm a bloke....and as a bloke I like to live,living is good for my health.... but my wife (who is a girly) is probably going to live longer than me...why ?...is it biological or is it a social thing ? or is it a combo of the two ?..the fact that more women are now present in the ' workplace ' could that have an effect on lifespan ? or is just genetically sound that females live longer than males ?

Please keep your answers brief...I don't know how long I've got.

one reason for this is the level of activity after retirement.  when most men retire, that is the end of all physical activity.  when most women retire, the physical activity continues in the form of housework.  there are probably other factors involved and i don't know how big an influence the physical aspect is.
