Carlos Salazar Boychev asked the Naked Scientists:
Why does the skin on your buttocks get painfully itchy when you sit on some cold surfaces, like ivory or rocky floors, with pants on, of course, but it doesn't when you sit on wood or other materials? Why does this happen?
What do you think?

well when u sit on a cold surface then vasoconstriction occurs and this impairs the blood flow and this causes ischemia and pain.
