Ben Iwen asked the Naked Scientists:
First off,
love the show, I listen by podcast
, I only wish you guys were on every day so I could get my science fix in more frequent doses.
Someone recently told me that the new high efficiency light bulbs actually are more pollutant than regular light bults when you factor in disposal, etc.
Is that true and if so, could you explain the difference between the two types and there overall energy / environmental impacts?
Thanks,
Ben Iwen
