Character strengths and gambling study
« on: 24/06/2008 08:30:03 »
Hi Everyone,

I'm currently running a project as a part of my dissertation in Psychology at the University of Queensland, Australia. Your intellectual contribution in this project is very welcomed. Completing the questionnaire will take less than 40 minutes.  Besides, it is for a good cause :) Your contribution is very important for the development of preventative and intervention programs. You do not have to be a gambler to participate.

For more information, please click on this link and follow the instructions:

Thank you very much for your time!  :)

Cheers
Jasmine

I shall be only too pleased to contribute; but it will have to be later (hopefully I can find my intellectual head). We psychs have to stick together.

Actually, the aphorism is "music sooths the savage beast"

William Congreve, the poet, wrote, "Music hath charms to soothe a savage breast..." in the poem 'The Mourning Bride.' It is often misquoted.

OK, you two refugees from the work house, I made it plain I was not quoting - I used the word "aphorism" which means "a terse saying embodying a general truth or astute observation." Therefore, you two limey dolts have missed the whole point of my previous post.

"Calm the damned beaver with a little music!"

(Jeese! What blithering idiots - to much time sniffing glue, those cretinous blokes. Brain cells totally destroyed except for their Medulla Oblongodas - which is the only thing keeping them breathing)

Savage BREAST, scary! Watch out everyone here comes the savage breast. Wasn't there a savage breast in a Woody Allen film that nursed people to death?

There were absolutely NO chickens involved. So what are you on about?

[I do like you suggestion, however, MIL(F)]

No, I think it was called "All you need to know about sex but didn't dare to ask."
It has the man trying to make love and all these little men inside his body operating his you-know-what. Very funny.
