Like if you "stick your tongue out like that your face will freeze" or

"eating and going in the water causes cramps!"

Tell me some you know?

"If you pull that face and the wind changes it'll stay like it"

"Sitting on cold concrete will give you piles"

"Eat more than four pigeons and you'll die"

"Eat your crusts or you'll stay small"

"Stop that or you'll go blind."

"Don't go near that swan's nest, if it hits you with its wing it'll break your leg."

"We've put some poison on your fingers" (to stop me biting my nails).

"Don't go near that pond, it's bottomless."

To parents: "Have you had sexual relations?"...long pause..."Yes". Me: "Can I meet them?"

Don't sit on heated radiators or you'll get piles.

If you have a black cat then it is bad luck.

Break a mirror and you'll have 7 years bad luck.

Don't stay too long in the bath or shower or you will shrivel away and then go down the plughole. (drain).

If you sweep the dirt on your floor out of the door after sundown, you're sweeping a family out of your life forever.
