What shall I do when daydreaming and my dreams turn sour. Thoughts of female friends suddenly turn sour when they betray me, or hurt me or do me some social injustice and or dishonour...

I try to choose my thoughts but often suffer pleasant dreams turning sour. Do any of you science folk experience this, what to do?

Bren, do you also have sour thoughts of males that betray you ? hurt you ?.....or are your sour dreams gender specific ?.....Your answer will certainly shed somne light on your predicament.

Fact of the matter is, if someone does you an injustice then i'ts quite natural to feel the way you do. You get hurt, hurt, turns to a negative feeling....it's your way of cushioning the blow and dealing with being upset. If your way of dealing with it then leads to a physical act of revenge then this is obviously a problem, especially if the hurt escalates out of control. From what you're saying, this is not you though.

Bren, I wouldn't feel concerned about your natural reaction, it's quite normal.......If it's any consolation, then I too often have nasty thoughts or negative daydreams towards people who have hurt me, as long as you just keep them that, just feelings, then the process of dealing with these feelings will gradually dilute the hurt away.

If you are finding that you ONLY have negative feelings towards women specifically then that's not necessarily something to get really worried about but to me indicates that you may be apprehensive around them, you may just be nervous which is completely natural of course. If this is the case then the problem lies a little deeper.

It's worth mentioning though, that anyone (male or female) can go through quite a traumatic time with regard to their dealings with the opposite sex until they finally manage a relationship with one !!...I know I did....after all, women are not just the opposite sex...they are Women !!!

Bren, don't know if I've been barking up the wrong tree here but I suspect (and please correct me if i'm wrong) but I suspect, as in the nature of your question , that your sour dreams are gender specific eh ?

Anyway, to summarize, in my opinion, if it's just thoughts and daydreams that you're having then it's quite normal, if it'sspecifically  just towards women then you just need to get to know women better and open up a bit more to them, rather than constrain yourself.

Yes it is geneder specific. Of course sex involves men too so they are featured in these sour dreams. Often the same ladies. I am trying to choose my own thoughts... Discipline.
