Do birds eat human vomit?

Most human vomit hasn't been digested very much (it normally come from the stomach and not the intestines), so there's still quite a lot of nutrition left in it, if you don't mind the taste.

...And its claws are as big as cups, and for some reason it's got a tremendous fear of stamps! And Mrs Doyle was telling me it's got magnets on its tail, so if you're made out of metal it can attach itself to you! And instead of a mouth it's got four arses!

Birds (as chicks) are fed regurgitated food by their parents.
So I suspect eating multicoloured yawn would not be a problem.

You know when you have been drinking too much and vomit at the end of the night, it then "vanishes" before you wake up...

    Paul,

Any dead birds around? That stuff is pretty acidic when it's fresh. I don't know what the tolerance for low pH is for birds given their small size, but I guess birds like most animals have a sense for what they can eat and what to avoid. If you have a pet bird, it might be a way to save some money on bird feed. By the way I posted a response to your question re GM plants. Its not very informative however since it depends on just what genetic modifications have been made.

We had some buzzards (Turkey Vulture) nest in the hayloft of our barn.
I used to throw McDonalds hamburgers to them and they ate those. That ain't much different.

Ive been living in Perth, Australia recently, and being like any other college kid, Ive seen my share of spew. I did see a seagull getting his fork and knife out with a meal of someone's fresh upchuck on the pavement one night after some alcohol related events occurred.

    AKA Sausages

Sausages are very interesting in that they have been around at least since fifth-century BCE Athens, where they were served at the theatre, and appear to have spread everywhere the Romans went too. It is an efficient way to package and cook meat, especially the gopping bits that are best not seen.
Some modern sauasages can be very fine but inevitably it's the bad one that gets the exposure.

You can get locked up for exposing your sausage - even if it's a good one.

I always assumed birds, not being very bright, would eat anything.  Then again I swallowed a penny when I was a child.
