I decided to not call "look behind ewe" because I couldn't be arsed, I wanted to see him get wet and mainly because as a sheepy I don't do human chit-chat !!


But what makes a wave ?...how are they made ?...doesn't matter where we are, when we're by the sea there are waves !!..why's that then ?

I know it has to do with the moon and I think gravity.. LOL But I don't recall the other aspects... how the gravity and the moon cause the wave.. Some how I think as the "World Turns" Hee hee.. at some point Maybe the moon is closer to us making gravity put pressure on the water and causing a wave.. tide in kinda thing.. perhaps when the tide is out there is less gravity or perhaps I have it backwards or even all together wrong.. and I also wonder if magnetic forces are involved but I don't remember hearing that or not! LOL

Simply put, the wind causes waves. The stronger the wind blows, the larger the wave. The longer the wind blows, the larger the wave.
Look at your cup of tea, hold the cup steady and then blow accross the surface of the tea...what do you see?...waves!

Yes only wind can cause waves - except those few that are caused by sub-marine seismic activity, tsunamis.

So Mine was the tides eh.. After Paul posted I got to thing the moon thing effects the tides..... Thanks guys..

As a firm believer in empirical study I made a cup of hot chocolate and placed it near my ' methane producer '....Asked wifey to observe !....conclusion....a happy me and a wave inducded choccy stained wifey face !
