Well I have this lovely bedfellow who snores a lot. he is Dog of the four legged variety.. although there is one of the two legged variety residing in a nearby room. who the dog takes after, as far as the snoring..
Now I do not mind snoring...it rather soothes me....I have been known myself to compete in this rather communa activity on occassions.
It just popped into my head to ask about canine adnoids and by the way... can a dog have sleep apnea as well as a human?

Thats a nice story about the dogs! Welcome to the forum...
Note: The question was about adenoids and the possibility of removal to prevent snoring in dogs as well as Sleep Apnea. I read the article but found nothing pertaining to that> Was there something I missed?

Re the article: Heck of a way of earning a nights sleep.
By lucid ignorant Generallity its considered snoring is caused by tiredness apart an Apnea.
..."Has it been in the wars"... end quote.
Only if it(Adenoids) obstructs i'd presume(resizing?).

Well Rocky is a pit bull.. and he can snore with the best of them.. but, he also stops breathing on occasion in his sleep along with gasping for air........ which frightens me as I love him a lot!
I missed that when reading the article.. thanks!

That would probably be referred to as much as a veterinary specialist from a vet if it is a problem from your story and the evidence if any sighted in its throat by the vet.

If your dog has a problem , why not take it to a vet if your not?
hmm, sounds sensible if you love it and it has problems as your saying.

my questioned was posed out of curiosity and will be adressed with the vet on her next trip down here into the valley...
