I was walking outside on a partly sunny day. I noticed I was casting two shadows, one right behind the other. How is that?? [:0]

It could well be that you were casting one shadow from direct sunlight, and one from reflected sunlight. It would depend very much on the exact situation.

A stupid comment for every occasion.

Maybe you are really electrosensitive like I am, and what you were really seeing wasn't a second shadow of yourself, but a microwave beam headed towards the cell phone in your pocket.

Seriously, BenV's solution sounds the best one. Clouds can be very good reflectors. They have silver linings!

Two shadows could be caused by a finger of cloud dividing the disc of the sun into two, creating two light sources.
Such shadows would be close: less than 1/2 a degree apart. A bit like a what occurs during an annular solar eclipse...
