Can any one help i need to find the answer to the following question
"To determine the azimuth of an object relative to the witness, one would use:
1. a calculator
2. dead reckoning
3. Global positioning
4 a compass
5. Calligraphy
I know you can determine the azimuth of an object by using a compass, what else however from the list can be used.
Any help would be appreciated.

There are on-line calculators giving the azimuth and elevation of geo-stationery satellites. There may be something similar for orbital ones.. AMSAT may have something.

This looks like a multiple choice question from an exam. In which the correct answer is a compass and all the other devices or techniques are not suitable to perfom the job in hand.
