Water at 300 d C
« on: 15/03/2005 11:34:15 »
What will happen to colour of water if it is boiled to 300 d C. Will it change its colour due to disolved solids?
I have experienced that local municipal supplied water with whatever disolved solid change colour to pink when boilded to 300 D C. Can some body expalin the reason?
Thanks
Suhas

I am not understanding your post. Water at 300 degrees C is superheated steam, and contains no dissolved solids. If you condensed the steam, and the condensate turned pink, then it picked up those minerals in your condenser.
