Yes, they serve a gaurantee with their software because of money exchanged for their product. Open source and freeware can be(and hopefully not) a little faulty on points of consumer protection and indemnity of the developer.
I have got really used to it now and are seldom tempted to go back to XP, it starts up really fast, there are a few minor problems but it is very free from crashes.I have not found any program that runs on XP that will not run on it even 16 bit ones.I will try as soon as possible to run some that are a disaster on XP such as the software for my VIVATAR camera which crashes XP and the Magic video converter board that does likewise but this silly new motherboard that I just purchased has only two slots and they are both in use at the moment.I have tried various flavours of Linux such as SUSE 11.0 but none will let me get into my EGG account which I need to manage my rather complex finances.I would like to run a 64 bit version but one can never find drivers although I have Driver Detective which I swear by.
I would be very surprised if a site like EGG can only be used with IE.
Does Microsoft own EGG by any chance? []
