When I was nowt but a lass (a small girl) I used to lie in the long grass in my grandads meadow and pull out the blades and chew the juice out of the stalks. D lish. I also made owl hooters out of the thicker blades.

Especially if left to ferment before you drink it.
There is a "health" product called Wheatgrass Juice (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheatgrass) which is, well, juice from wheatgrass. It has been hyped as the new elixer to everything, though there is (strangely) no proof of any of it being true. However, it is a drink made from grass.
