The EPA which is another corrupt organization closely allied to the corrupt FDA wants to classify Nano Silver a pesticide.

The Environmental Protection Agency is now selectively targeting nano silver - while ignoring pharmaceuticals and toxic chemical pesticides - as an environmental pollutant!

This is because nano silver has shown powerful anti bacterial and anti viral properties and its increasing us in health related fields is causing grave concern that its use may reach a critical point where it supercedes Big Pharma products.

No doubt this is the main reason they want to to classify it as a pesticide as you would not want your doctor to give you something called a pesticide would you?

If this this approved then it will be banned from health use and allowing Big Pharma to continue.

If it kills pests it is a pesticide.

If it works then by definition it will definitely have environmental side effects (bacteria are vital in all ecosystems), and if it kills one form of life the it possibly has possibly health effects in another  us. So either it works and it should be controlled, or it doesn't and it shouldn't be sold as working.

Doctors are happy to prescribe ( and the patients to receive) warfarin, and vitamin D both of which are uesed as pesticides- specifically rat poisons. I'm sure there are other examples.

What would bother me would be someone who pretends to be a doctor and prescribes something totally non toxic- but also useless.

Nobodysavedme - stop and think about this for a moment.

We're talking about nanoscale particles of silver - which have to be carefully engineered and will make a lot of money for whoever sells them. Why wouldn't pharma companies (who already have the investment and expertise in testing and marketing that this would need) be interested?

Also, nano silver particles are almost certainly harmful in the environment - With nano particles of pretty much anything it's been shown that, in systems which cannot break them down and incorporate/excrete them appropriately, they are harmful.  Buckyballs, made of pure carbon, are harmful in the environment.  I would fully expect that nanoparticles of silver will be harmful in the environment too, and it's only too right that they're labelled as an environmental pollutant.

Once again, you show your willingness to fall for propaganda, rather than really thinking about an issue.  Remember how mobile phone headset marketing got you hook, line and sinker?  I think you are unthinkingly anti-pharma, and therefore willing to swallow any anti-pharma propaganda that you come across.  This makes you unreliable and untrustworthy, and on a science forum, could make you look foolish.
