Looks like a snail, Like Lo said?  Looks as though he has been flipped over and is trying to right himself..... No snail....hmmmmm No Slug unless he was hiding in the shell...no clue!

Spots on a cabbage leaf, fugus type thing? Are they butterfly spots? The edges have that colored frilly look. hummmm must examine again.........Looks as if it could be plant, although the veins are very distint patterns.have to think more about this one...
