what is the ark of covenant

I thought of such misunderstood language that had a problem at some date on earth. It was something of a bad religion, but that would hurt its such existence. religion hurts humans!

I believe that "The Ark Of The Covenant" was the box designed to house the covanants of God, "The Ten Commandments"  An ornate box that was used to transport the tablets themselves to and from one temple to another etc..I understood them to be hidden up for protection but don't quote me.. I may be wrong....

The box in which the stone tablets with the 10 commandments carved in them were stored and transported.

More to the point, what on earth is this doing in a science forum?

don't let entertainment drive answers, religion had a specific storage chest belonging to a Civilization causing the most trouble on earth. The Indians and the Jews are fighting for belief.
