There are some missing puzzle pieces on your feelings regarding such power that moves our world on earth! please let me know how you have been hurt or helped on this strange matter. It was never my choice to decide on energy use if history was not cracked up completely as it was supposed to be.  I might die from cancer because of energy byproducts! I like and have all the reasons for DC but nobody cares for some reason!

I'm not entirely sure I understand the question, but the advantage of AC is that it alternates, therefore if you get a shock, there is a split-second period during which you will receive zero current. This increases your chance of being thrown away from the source, thus minimising the impact of the shock. So, in short, AC is generally safer.

Actually, the reason AC current is so widely used is because it can be transformed. That is to say; From the power station, electricity comes to the consumer over transmission lines. The higher the voltage, the less energy is lost through transmission. This fact makes AC current much more compatable for commercial use and less expensive to provide. It is also good to note, DC current at the voltage of 120v is much more dangerous than AC. While they are both capable of killing the common adult at this voltage, DC current is much more lethal because it tends to hold it's victim with more vigor.....................Ethos

it was good, AC voltage for long distance and DC for motor torque, I still dislike the ringing in my ears near AC power pylons unexplained by doctors.
