Global warming, my a$$!  I've worn out two snow shovels in the past week.
Old enough to have a grandson
Slow enough to study rocks
Thirsty enough to find a pub

Deep heavy spring snow, the cheap shovels I buy don't hold up well.  Sunshine today- maybe even 60F.  More rain/snow next week.

My poor fruit trees can't figure whether to bloom or hibernate.

Miser - spend money on a snow blower. it isn't as if you won't get your money's worth out of it.

Isn't it proven that global warming will and is cooling the earth?
Here in Australia we are experiencing snow and cold weather we wouldn't expect to have for another 2-3 months.
Should we just rename it "Global Meltdown" ?
Better stock up on those snow shovels.

The southern and northern hemispheres tend to show an average temperature anti-correlation throughout the Holocene...when the NH warms, the SH tends to cool and vice versa.  The South Equatorial Current and the Antarctic Intermediate Water are two southern hemisphere surface/intermediate ocean currents that feed the Gulf Stream.  As the Gulf Stream increases in intensity, it draws warm southern hemisphere water and sends it to the north...hence the mismatched warming/cooling effect (oversimplified...but you get the idea).
