So was the duck billed platypus created in a hurry?

well steven do you believe in God? God can do anything at all.
Maybe it wasn't done in 7 days though I don't know. I do know that he could do though.
The Bible says that 1 day on earth is like 1000 years in heaven.
Maybe it was made in 7,000 years then.
Also it was made in 6 days he rested on the 7th

Yeah he also did a fair bit of it in the dark [:0], explains a lot really. Also he made the world without being here? 7,000 years isn't very long in the grand scheme of things. I think in 70 generations of man we could probably build a planet tbh. 6 days is more impressive!

Sorry but if you think the whole universe was made in six days or 6,000 years you are crazy. Fair enough if you think God got the ball rolling, but anything else is just madness.[:I]

Taking the bible literally is pointless; interpreting whatever you want from the text is also counter productive. Just read it, think about it and make up your own mind, based on the world around you and instinct.

And yes this post is a bit of a flame [] sorry, but I cant take someone seriously who literally believes in creationism certainly not with anything to do with science. Even if they were brilliant at science I would still have to wonder why they ever believe in this?

Examples are aplenty and numerous. My daughter created a mess in only two minutes !

While they look beautiful, they are wet, they have appaling fish breath, and carry poisoned spines on the rear feet.

That said, they are also shy but playful, and wonderful to watch.

In all seriousness, there is only one example i can think of...us.  Everything else evolved just fine till we came along and trashed it all.

Perhaps it wasn't so much a case of being in a hurry; perhaps your God just got too smart for his own good.

William Blake asked this question long ago, pointing to the odd conundrum of a benevolent deity ultimately responsible for the existence of death and evil. I go with Occam's razor and disbelieve the existence of a deity- but if you do believe and you are a thinking person you will have to wrestle with the Tyger and the Man even more than the inoffensive Platypus or Echidna.
