I'm with RD.. I think castor oil has more nasty side effects than goodness. Personally I wouldn't put my child through that potential. Do you guys not have a poisons information line you can ring? or a parenting helpline? Although I suspect it will just work its way through the system, I'd still be taking him to see a GP when you can. (just to be sure) it's probably not an emergency case (unless he starts having difficulty breathing) but maybe a check to reassure yourself from a real doctor. (anyways that's what I would do though we have medicare here and other stuff to help)
Hi Neil. It must be catching. My little 5 year old girl swallowed a wishbone shaped plastic hair clip (looks like wishbone legs with feet on the ends of each wishbone leg) from the toy Girl's World. Apparently it hurt going down the throat but once in the stomach she said she was OK. Obviously we went to A&E on Saturday evening as soon as it happened. It's seethrough plastic so didn't show on X-Ray. Do you think the due to its shape it may get lodged in the intestine or not make it out of the Pyloric Sphincter? She seems fine 24 hours later. No sign of it yet, how long does something like this take to go through the human body? Blimey, kids scare the begeezers out of you sometimes!

Congrats, Neil! []I'm glad that everything went well. Sheesh kids, I sometimes feel they are all in a secret conspiracy just to scare their family. Makes me somewhat glad I don't have my own kids, but my great-nieces and nephews have been (and still are) making up for it.Now we just have to wait for Ellie telling us the good news, I'm sure it'll be OK too.

On second thoughts you could have the ball’s unique de-chromed patina preserved for posterity by encapsulating it in clear resin, (like these paperweights).
