Just in case anyone hasn't realised, over the next few nights, Earth will be passing through the debris of the Perseids meteor. So if you live away from the light pollution of large towns and cities, the night sky could put on a nice show.

The night of 12/13 Aug will be the best, but the moon, almost at its last quarter, may be a bit of a problem.

True the Perseids are the best and most reliable meteors and well worth a look.   

I agree about the access problems and have sent an email to chris the administrator pointing it out.   we currently have to sneak in the "back door" via one of the topics you put on the front page as both of the side bars seem to throw an error after putting up the stuff about hepatitis week.

I think it's about 2000 yrs old.

Bugger all again last night, too cloudy & rain peeing down.

Think I'll get a gun and take a trip to some TV station........ Now that's what you call 'shooting stars'!
