Was the point of singularity, at the beginning of the universe, almost pure energy?  As I understand it, even subatomic particles could not exist.

As far as we know, that is true. The universe was initially too hot & too dense for particles to exist.

So could it be that a supermassive black hole in our galaxy gets to a point where it creates a big bang in our universe?

And if so, will the newly formed galaxy be part of our galaxy? or will it destroy our galaxy?
