Why don't we have different species of Humans ?

I mean like for instance Dogs
different breeds of cats
different breeds of rats
different breeds of snakes
different breeds of fishes

Why not Humans ?
Where are they .. I bet Modern humans might have killed them long back!!

To an extent, we do. The different races of humans are roughly analagous to the different breeds of cats etc.
However, since humans interbreed quite regularly and always done, have the differences between the different races are trivial.

I'mnot aware of different breeds of snakes in the same way that there are differrent breeds of dogs.
Do  you know the difference between a strain (or variety) and a species?

There are people with naturally darker skin, diferent appearances ~ just common traits displayed throughout different cultures. But yes, the inter-breeding is making short work of that :)

Its like the difference between a simese cat and a ginger cat, you know their both cats but yet they look nothing alike.

Dimi, all animals show their physical difference in their physical appearances but when it comes to humans it's all same format !! Why ?
depending on different climatic format, our skin color differs ..  but the format is always same .. why ?

I'm pretty sure we are a species- in the same way that dogs or cats are a species.
Siamese and tabby are breeds. I think that in more technical terms these subsets within a species (ie they can all sucessfully interbreed) are called varieties, strains or races depending on circumstances or taste.
