it could be guests that view the topics, who can't post! even if they can, the forum is not an instant service - keep in mind that most people here are compassionate volunteers answering questions, but have limited time. be patient, and people might reply, but they have no obligation to, so you're better off hoping for rather than expecting a reply [:)]

Glovesforfoxes is absolutely right. The majority of views displayed is generated by 'guests ' who can not post. Please bear with the site. It can take some times before answers follow.

Personally, I sometimes click on a question if I'm not sure if I might be able to answer, so on reading the full question, I sometimes decide it would be best left to someone else.

Also ... I might see a question that I want to know the answer to, so I look to see if anyone has come up with a good explanation.

Would people not respond if questions seem too 'homework-ish' ie boring? and what kind of question would this be??

I don't think it's the homework, it's the fact they just expect an answer. An attempt and explanation of what they did would be good, if they need help with a calculation still, we go from there and discuss it properly. Just my thoughts anyway.

Ok, well i thought perhaps sometimes people enjoy answering questions that they know the answer to? lol, well i do sometimes... so im not sure what draws the line between homework (yawn yawn) and something that is food for thought and thus interesting to answer and/or discuss... ?

I'm still getting used to this forum business despite my four grand stars!  [:o]

Well aint you just the gentleman  [:P] lol

I spent the vast majority of my forum days hibernating in "can you guess what this is?" and only recently emerged, so i do believe my ignorance is forgivable if you'll be so kind as to excuse me dear sir? [:D]
