Rob Fillis asked the Naked Scientists:
If you fly 10,000kg of ducks within the fuselage of a plane would that plane be 10,000kg heavier or lighter on take-off?
What do you think?

On average it will be 10,000kg heavier (it's a heck of a lot of ducks). The weight will fluctuate because the ducks are flying about in all sorts of directions and it takes a finite time for the air pressure waves to affect the fuselage of the plane. With that many ducks it will be well averaged though.

It could be a bit of a task trying to weigh a plane during take-off
