Cansouth is another candidate for the order of the tinfoil beanie.  Ignore it.
It is good if it is humour and worth a good laugh but like fundamentalist religion it is nasty if people take it seriously.

The satellite hacker uses satellites to record brain waves, and also to send waves into peoples brains. Here are two articles about recording brainwaves:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/2361987.stm [nofollow]
17 November, 2002
quote:
Scientists have developed a sensor that can record brainwaves without the need for electrodes to be inserted into the brain or even placed on the scalp.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6661974/ [nofollow]
Dec. 6, 2004
quote:
Brain waves are the very weak electrical signals given off by the firing of millions of nerve cells in the brain. They can be measured by wires in a cap placed on the outside of the head.

Here is a discussion forum post about the subject. I dont know how serious meant this is, but it is interesting reading, anyway:

Apr 20, 2005

The Pentagon has admitted that the U.S. intelligence agencies called the N.S.A. [ National Security Agency ], C.S.S [ Central Security Service ], D.I.A. [ Defense Intelligence Agency ], D.A.R.P.A. [ Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency ], C.I.A. [ Central Intelligence Agency ], the D.H.S. [ Department of Homeland Security ], and the F.B.I. [ Federal Bureau of Investigation ] Cointelpro or Counter intelligence program unit, has the technology to pick up the private thoughts given by individuals in the vibrations produced by the brains electrical impulses, and that these thoughts can be broadcast via satellites and any other form of technology which uses electromagnetic transfer, i.e. television, radio, the internet, and the telephone. The Pentagon calls this mind reading technology SYNTHETHIC TELEPATHY, although there is nothing paranormal about it.

Totally batty!!  Even with the most sensitive functional NMR, Electro and magneto encellography the best that can be measured is apprximately which areas of the brain are most active as for measuring thoughts in detail and retransmitting them to affect others  not a hope. I'd lay monrey on it and I only bet on certainties.

Now the use of body language and detailed linguistic analysis coupled to the effects of suggestion in images and words as practiced by some of our best illusionists is a totally different matter!!  Most peoples thoughts are quite transparent and they can be highly affected by suggestion and can be controlled in this way.  You are looking in totally the wrong place!

cansouth, could you please answer some questions for me with yes or no answers.
I am very serious in what I ask, and have only joined this forum in order to ask you.

1. Have you ever been diagnosed with schizophrenia (even if you think the diagnosis was wrong)?
2. Have you ever been diagnosed with any mental illness?
3. Is there any medication which you take, or are supposed to take but refuse to?
4. Do you live with your family?
5. Do any of your family or friends know about your satellite theory?
6. Do you ever consider commiting violent, or criminal acts because of your satelitte theory?

I hope you can answer me honestly, thank you.

I'd totally forgotten about that site explaining the truth behind satellite hacking and who the mastermind is.

I wonder who posted that site?  [::)]

There have been cases of people finding quiet bits on the band edge of a satellite transposer but that would only allow a narrow signal to be relayed. TV viewers wouldn't see anything.  As regards jamming a satellite..  Most satellite up-links use quite large transmitter  powers (available if not used normally)and large dishes are used for the uplink which would be beyond the man in the street.

Cansouth, why do you continue to post more "evidence" when it's obvious that none of this has any real substantial evidence? Every new piece of evidence is ridiculed and over-sarcasmised.(No that's not a word, sue me.)
If you can give solid points against the numerous evidence against this, then I'll still make fun of it. Oh well.

Guys... do note that until Pumblechook's post of 11th September this thread had been dormant since  early 2006. Cansouth probably isn't listening anymore.
