Dear Naked Science Peeps Of Academic Wonder & Awe.

Do YOU have a four slotted toaster ?

When you just want to make 2 pieces of toast do you use the right side slots or the left ?

We mainly use the right, but I have recently purposely started to use the left slots ....however...very frequently it is almost like an instinct that automatically still makes me use the right side....it's just a natural proclivity to favour the right.

Do you think it has to do with right and left handedness type stuff ?

So which is it...right or left ?

Anyway, I am certain that DrBeaver would approve of this important study for which I am sure will become required learning in all educational establishments ,and so I welcome your answers.

right, or the side that has the arrow pointing towards it, but usually the right

yes, I have a 4 slotted toaster
and I always use the two on the left side when making two halves of a bagel and...
I am left handed!

we have a long slot toaster,my wife,always uses the front slot,closest to her,obvious yes ?ive just noticed,i put one slice in each approximately central,am i weird ?.

I have a four slotted toaster and i'm right handed, so you would presume i would use the right sided slots, but in fact i use neither side as i don't eat toast[]

firstly all big supermarket chains sell bagels and to the other yes i have a 4 slotted toaster and use the far left and far right when making two slices as i think the brown more evenly than the center two

I use the right hand slots. I will try to use the left hand slots more often now.
I love bagels too, especially the onion ones.

And it came to pass that one should manifest the mother of all toasters. And it is said that I may just wish for a thing and it will be so, but to await for the application of heat upon mine sliced leavened bread of flour and leavening ingredients within is an anticipation to be relished.

I utilise the slots of the toaster to the north when the toaster is facing east.

It's tough not existing !!

In your toaster, can you independently heat each individual slot then ?

In my toaster, it has to be two , either the right or left...so..If I were to do what you do for just two pieces of toast, I would then still be heating up four slots......is that how it is with you ?

LOL...you know what just occurred to me?  I haven't had toast in sooooooo long that I forgot I no longer use my 4 slotted toaster.  Now I have a toaster oven that I use instead.  But, to answer your question, yes....it did heat up all 4 slots.  I know, I was wasting electricity. Shame on me. [V]

Yep, I know it's old !!...but not as old as your toaster !!

it was only because of my other poll (now ended and deleted due to lack of interest *le sulk*) that made me think about this.....besides....since I first did this we have a whole new batch of new members  []
