Dear diary... I am having a slow day today but am sitting on my bed enjoying the sunshine coming through my windows and watching the white fluffy clouds as they seem to be pretty stationary today with little to no breeze... Quite lovely and yet there is a bit of a bitter chill in the air out in the cool of the shade...

How is the weather in your neck of the woods today?

I should get sheepy to knit me a scarf! -5F here (not counting the wind chill) and snow. Hunkered down with the 4-legged blonde in front of fireplace.

Our groundhog, Montana Mike, didn't do us any favors when he saw his shadow this year.

Hehehe! It's only down to 7F here. I think I'll get Mrs G to give me a good thrashing with the birch twigs before I go for a nice long roll in the snow.

We are having quite the storm here tonight. The wind is blowing quite hard tonight..feels a bit restless like me...and my legs tonight.Anyone have any tips that I may not have tried to reduce the antsy feelings so I can sleep...?

Well despite my attempt to sleep I ended up standing in the hot shower trying to get my legs to relax.. then laid back down to try to go to sleep again to no avail!

Now this is the working on three days with maybe two hours sleep total and I am still awake....
Keep falling asleep and waking up within ten minutes I just don't get it.. then my legs are driving me nuts!

It's snowed here for 23 straight days. Some days we get over 6", others just a couple of snow showers. Today started sunny and mild, but has turned chilly with a dark cloud hovering over the mountains to the west. I was hoping to break the "snow string", but it looks like Geezer (who lives ~150 miles northwest of here) is sending us at least enough to keep the streak alive.

They got six and a half feet of the stuff last week at the Lookout Pass ski hill! (It's right on the Montana/Idaho line, which is a real pain, because you have to keep switching your watch between Mountain time and Pacific time as you ski down the hill.)

A few years back, we had a lot of snow around Memorial Day, so they opened the ski area at Lookout for a free ski day. (Memorial Day falls on the last Monday IN MAY!)

Up to 25 straight days- there was a trace of snow after midnight and some very dark looking storm clouds creeping over the horizon once again.
