Help !  I am an American living in the south of Sweden.  I have a Swedish residency permit.
I still have a valid US driver licence but need a Swedish one.  Is there anyway around all the theory tests and costs ?  My valid US licence will expire this August!  Any advice is appreciated.

Take the tests.  Your driving will improve as a result. Your risk of having an accident will be reduced.

I agree with Ophi......I don't see how you can shortcut the test I'm afraid, even though you already hold a US licence, the highway code in Sweden is different surely....good luck...let us know how you get on.....plus, you have to learn how to avoid all those rogue saunas !!
