Following on from speed of light question, what is the fast speed any living thing has been ? I'm guessing it's something on board an orbiting or returning spacecraft ....

The fastest living thing might well be some kind of organism inside a meteorite.  Just a quick look on the net gives an indication that one of the fastest meteors was 160,000mph.
