I thought that was pretty cool !...Do you know how high it went and how far away was it from you when it landed ?...You were lucky that it missed that busy road....Good job !
The fact that you did this was missed. Very cool stuff.Actually it reminds me of an article I read about hackers trying to create their own hackerspace program by launching their own satellites into space and tracking them through (relatively) simple ground stations. I imagined most of these would be via weather balloons. They were thinking of tracking the location with what amounts to reverse-GPS: they get the location of the ground stations through GPS, and then use that data to find out where the satellites are in space.Was this something you could track while its at the edge of space?
Thanks! I calculated about 85-90 thousand feet and it landed 80 miles away from the launch site.
