Want to make voice catching device

I want to make device through which i can catch the voice signals of mobile phones near by me, may be by doing some change in walkie talkie or in cell phone. Any idea?

Thanks but did you know any method through which i can made this device myself?
And do not worry about laws, i know and respect all laws.

If you know "all laws" you can become a highly paid lawyer, then you could afford buy such a device. [ However you could then lose your licence to practice law by using such a device, if it is a criminal offence to do so in your country ].

Agree with RD - we cannot/will not give out practical advice to build a device for which it is difficult to envisage a legitimate use.  Unless this thread takes a very theoretical turn, ie  away from actual building then we will reluctantly have to lock it.
