« on: 14/10/2012 09:30:02 »
Ahmed Youssef  asked the Naked Scientists:

Early biology question: what is the earliest known organisms/animals/creatures that had to mate to reproduce?

Thanks,

Ahmed

What do you think?

I will tenderly say spider for the creature section  .I am guessing lack of response to this question is because it would be a guess with not much to base it on. Would be interesting to know which mammals first put on the Barry White music, lit a few candles and decided that the environment was suitable to raise some young uns.

Go forth and multiply!
