Neil did you cook that meal yourself? I love cucumbers and I have a reciepe somewhere for pickled cucumbers and zucchini. It is so delicious. I will give it to you!  must try it some time as I don't know if I can send canned deliciousness in ground package internationally! Food may be a no no!
It actually sounds good. The meat wasn't nasty, I just am partial to light meat in poultry and duck is a tad greasy as I said. The flavor was good though. I like chineese but have not tried it.  What time is dinner Neil? Your house or mine Sir!

LOL ..Oh Karen !!

Despite what appears to be my omnipresent nature here, it does not indicate that I have the time midweek to cook such a dish.

No, I grabbed that picture from some site somewhere. In fact, I have never cooked duck......for some reason, I could never bring myself to buy it !!

Duck is very fattening....especially the skin...but I believe if cooked correctly and the skin removed it may be just  a tad more fattening than chicken.

What time is dinner ?....when ever there is a gap between dealing with the kids...but dinner with you ?...any time !! [:)]....the same must apply to Lo and Carolyn too of course !!

 Violent swans face pond eviction

A pair of violent swans face eviction from their home on a village pond after a series of attacks on visitors.
Australian black swans Charlie and Sophie have lived in Alderton, Wiltshire, for several years.

But their aggressively territorial behaviour has seen them set upon humans and feathered visitors alike, leading to the deaths of two rare birds.

Now locals have had enough, and once the pair's cygnets are old enough to cope on their own, they will be moved.

Warning signs have been posted around the pond warning against Charlie's propensity to attack people.

Parish councillor George Lynham said: "Charlie has no respect for human beings - although the pond is fenced off if, it is possible for him to get to humans and he has no problems about attacking their arms or ankles."

But since he and Sophie became parents in May, the couple have begun picking on other birds.

"Instead of just attacking humans, he has developed turbo-charged speed to cross the pond and attack birds," explained Mr Lynham.

After killing a Ross's goose from America and a red-crested pochard, a duck normally only found in mainland Europe, Charlie was captured and moved to another pond.
In his absence Sophie became more violent, and although Charlie has since returned there are plans to evict both birds soon.

Mr Lynham said: "If we leave them there they will kill more so the decision has been made to move them to a new habitat."

Not allowed to  do that in the U.K. Tony, it's an offence to kill any swans as they are protected species - Royal birds.

Love you lots

I do love Swans. surely when on the water the most graceful and beautiful  of creatures, and in flight, pristine in form and nature.
