Shouldn't a video disc be called a VD instead of a DVD?

When I put my car-lock remote under my chin it works from farther away. Does my head act as an antenna?

I think calling it VD might be considered bad marketing (although that may depend upon the market sector, but most family men might have their wives look askance at them if the suggested they were going out to get some VD).

More seriously, DVD originally meant Digital Video Disk, but some people now prefer Digital Versatile Disk because they like to emphasise that it is used for more than just video, although most people still think of it as Digital Video Disk.

there are sacks of fluid in each joint of your body and preassure can build asymetricaly in them if the force applied to the cartalidge the crack is the equlisation of the pressure.

i dont think ive explained that very well try this, half fill a balloon with air(replacing the fluid sack) now using your fingers pinch in the middle now play with it see how the balloon wants to maintain equal pressure in both sides and will rush from a high to low pressure side if given the chance thats exactly whats happening in your knuckles.

J.B.S Haldane on the perforated eardrums which were a consequence of his pressure experiments "the drum generally heals up; and if a hole remains in it, although one is somewhat deaf, one can blow tobacco smoke out of  the ear in question, which is a social accomplishment".

Unlikely, since the key is already in your hand, and any radiation travelling through your chin could just as easily travel up your arm.

I would suggest you test whether you car key, at chin height, but well away from your actual chin, works as well?  It may well just be the height above the ground (and clearance from other obstacles)  that is the key feature.
