Panic Disorder
« on: 21/07/2006 10:25:11 »
Hi there everyone, so glad I have found this site.
I wonder if anyone can help me?

I am allergic to NSAIDs, Panadol and Asprin.  And am also sensitive to certian foods.

I am parinoid about everything I eat or injest.  In fact I DON'T ingest any type of medication.

I have a concernig question...If my boyfriend takes a NSAID, Panadol or Asprin and I kiss him/exchange body fluids...will I have an allergic reaction???
I feel silly, but have to ask and see if anyone can shed some light.

Don't know much about your specific condition, but in general allergies can be of differing sensitivities; some allergies can trigger intense shock reaction even to a single molecule, while others only react to large amounts of the allergen.

You need to get yourself properly tested to find out how intense your allergy is.

Not sure how much of these drugs will actually be excreted in bodily fluids, but ofcourse, if your boyfriend has just swallowed some, there may remain some traces yet in his mouth.

Theoretically, trace amounts of most drugs remain in sweat, hair, and all sorts of places; but they are only small trace amounts, so it really does depend upon how sensitive you are.
